The Wonderful School

(This heart-warming poem was written by Sai Phone Tip, a 12-year old Burmese and one of my Level 6 students in St. Aloysius Gonzaga Institute of Higher Studies, Taunggyi, Shan State, Myanmar. This was his first attempt in making his own poem in our English class, but it is simply amazing!)

With the happiness of the children
And with the beautiful smiles of the teachers,
The wonderful school is full of grace
Growing up with many races.

Lots of games and fields to play
Joy never ends for the kids to play,
Beginning with the helps of teachers
To stimulate their interest better.

One has to work hard
To get a good report card,
One has to do a lot of exercises
To get medals and prizes.

When schooldays end at last
With full of tears they left,
Missing those memorable experiences that passed
Just knew that the wonderful days have passed.
